Princeton Popcorn: from a hand-planted crop to national Amazon sales
2015
First popcorn crop, planted by hand on a plot smaller than most suburban yards. Later came 80 acres of farmland near Princeton, Kansas.
Grocery
Stores review new products about once a year. Too slow for a new brand to survive on.
Amazon
Sold straight to customers nationwide instead, testing Fulfillment by Amazon alongside shipping orders myself.
Scale
Moved to Amazon's fulfillment network, then added Amazon Warehousing and Distribution for bulk inventory that refills FBA as demand grows.
Recognition
Amazon featured Princeton Popcorn in a national advertising campaign that reached 30 million impressions, and filmed a feature at the farm.
2025
Princeton Popcorn grew 30% for the year, as reported in Amazon's own story about the farm.
“With Fulfillment by Amazon, I basically have a nationwide warehouse distribution system.”
Quoted in Amazon's Selling Partners story about the farm, March 2026.
What it means for your brand
I've set up fulfillment, moved to bulk inventory programs, built a brand customers recognize, and run the advertising myself. Each step came with mistakes I won't let you repeat.
Ask me on our call about the brands I'm working with now. I'll share what I can with their permission.
Let's talk about your brand.
Tell me where you are with Amazon and I'll get back to you personally. If it's a fit, we'll set up a free 30-minute call.
I work with a small number of brands at a time, so each one gets me, not an account manager. If I'm full, I'll tell you when I can start.
